The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home - Lost My Name
"Two friends were on a secret trip,
through deepest space they flew,
a billion light years from their home -
and guess what? No one knew!"
We always read our son a bedtime story every night (make that about 2, maybe 3) so finding new and exciting books to read has got to be one of our favourite things. To say my son is only 2 and a half he's always took a keen interest in story books. Obviously he isn't able to read them yet but he can spend hours in his reading chair, under the stairs in his snug with his head in many books, making up stories of his own. How fascinating a child mind is and i find myself just putting everything on hold just to watch him. Jack has so many books that he enjoys but at this moment in time we are loving one very unique book in particular - 'The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home.'
Lostmy.name is 100% independent and self published which started as a DIY project ran by three dads and an uncle. They sold a few books here and there and thanks to their customers word of mouth means they are on their way to making a million bedtimes that bit more magical. The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home is a tale about two friends who go on a secret trip through space, a billion light years from home, with no one knowing.
With this book, you are able to personalise it yourself for your child. I was able to between a boy or girl when ordering and then i was, also, able to choose what i wanted my adventurer to look like, so i chose the one with the blonde hair just like my son. I loved how i was able to write a message at the beginning of the book and it even has Jack's name written in the stars on one of the pages.
One of my absolute favourite things about this book is that there is an ariel view of our house and not just a random view of houses which means we are able to pick out our house to Jack & now Jack knows where his house is on the ariel view (also an ariel view of the city we live in) - can you imagine how cool this would be if you were a child, i mean its pretty cool anyway but for a child's imagination their mind will be blown. Plus this is quite a nice keepsake for when they are older.
Another amazing feature of this book is that it glows in the dark, my son loved it so much i had to leave it in bed for him - although he woke up in the morning and didn't understand why it wouldn't glow up for him.
What i'm trying to say is that this book is the creme de la creme of books, jack was fixated and i had the most fun reading this to him - i'm not sure who had the most fun, me or Jack?!
This book is absolutely amazing and is printed with real high quality and for £19.99 these are the perfect gift. This is the sort of book a child can cherish all through their childhood and let their imagination run free then keep for when they are older to reflect back on.
