I would like to think I'm fairly good at doing my make up. I can do a mean smokey eye and I'm putting into practise doing a cut crease, those things are hard in the beginning, but my down fall is doing my eye brows. I always seem to do them too thick, one too big, one too small... Que my makeup lesson at fenwicks.
Walking in a was rather nervous, I'm such a fuss pot when it comes to my makeup and as a rule of thumb, I never let anyone near my makeup or hair. Heading into Newcastle sans makeup on a Saturday was an effort in itself then walking up to the counter with the bright lights and beautiful women with perfect make up was the cherry on the cake. Saying that, when I got speaking to the staff I was quickly put at ease. They were all lovely.
I decided to go for a high coverage full face of makeup with a dramatic smokey eye, hell I was heading into Newcastle that evening so I wanted the full works... even if it was midday! My make up artist was just amazing, giving me tips and tricks throughout the lesson and even showed me how to do my brows which I now feel so much more confident doing.
Needless to say I absolutely loved my makeup lesson but one thing I was disappointed in was that I never took any more images than the ones above, I was obviously just so excited to show off my new makeup and enjoy my night out with the husband.
These make up lessons cost £30 which is well worth the money anyway but coupled with the fact you get to redeem this £30 towards products makes it definitely worth while but if you are wanting to book in for this service be sure you book well in advance, I'm talking at least 4-6 weeks in advance.
I've been invited to a local super salon this Saturday (which I am super excited about) for a hair cut, style and blow dry followed by a make over so lesson learnt from this time, take more photos! Blog to follow so watch this space.
