HaveToLove My Outfit

05.07.2018

If you know me you’ll know I’m all about supporting local businesses. Whether it be a local food markets, beauty business, fashion retailers to everything in between, supporting local businesses is a no brainier to me.

Cue independent ladies fashion boutique - HaveToLove, Gosforth.

HaveToLove opened in 2006 by entrepreneur and fashionista, Kate Walton. Kate flys the flag for independent retailers within the North East of England. Winner of Drapers’ Best New Business 2007, HaveToLove has also been listed in the 50 Best Boutiques by The Daily Telegraph Stella Magazine and named in Vogue’s 100 Best Shops outside of London.

I was recently invited along to the boutique for a one-on-one personal shopping experience during their Love Island Launch Party Event. I was greeted by stylist Rebecca who looked amazing, draped head to toe in HaveToLove, obviously and I was offered a pina colada to get me in the holiday spirit.

We browsed the store together, going through their summer trends and talked through my style including what I wear on holiday as I was due to jet off 2 days later. I was handed a different selection of clothing, which personally I wouldn’t have chosen for myself but it was interesting to see what others would choose for you and they all worked really well!

Havetolove is recognised by as one of the most respected fashion organisations in the industry and it’s not hard to see why. The level of service I received was incredible. Kate and her assistant really did go the extra mile to make me feel welcome which, these days, is quite hard to come by.

In my opinion, it’s all about the little details especially when it comes to packaging, which can make or break your shopping experience. One of my pet hates is your clothing just getting flung into a bag but this certainly isn’t the case at HaveToLove. Each item is wrapped with precision and love, gently folded and wrapped in the most beautiful electric pink tissue paper and placed delicately into a branded HaveToLove paper bag.

HaveToLove is your little piece of independent retail heaven right here in Newcastle which satisfies the desire to find something unique that not everyone else is wearing. All items are individually hand chosen by Kate and only a small number of each item is stocked meaning you’ll be more likely to find something different and individual which I absolutely love. There’s nothing worse than when you’re out and bumping into someone who is wearing the same outfit as you!

I was kindly gifted this beautiful white playsuit which was perfect for my holidays. The detailing around bust and legs was just beautiful and the material was nice and light, perfect for those sunny days in Greece. I also love how versatile the playsuit was due to its simple design which could easily be dressed up with heels and a waist belt for the evening or flip flops during the day. It’s safe to say this was my go to playsuit whilst away.

HaveToLove has exciting, new deliveries each week which are also available to buy over on their website. I absolutely cannot get enough of the HaveToLove Instagram page, it’s full of inspiration on new, upcoming trends and capsule pieces. What I love too is if you see something you like on their website, you can order it online and collect in store - you really do have to snap things up when you seen them as stock is limited.

You can view their website at:

It’s safe to say HaveToLove will always be one of my all time favourite fashion boutiques, it’s approximately a half an hour drive from my house but is totally worth the drive. From the moment you walk in you are well looked after, the stylists give you their inside tips and tricks yet you don’t feel pressured at all to buy anything. There is free onsite parking too plus the boutique is surrounded by the most lovely coffee bars, bistros and restaurants so you could always make a day of it.
